WALDORF CHICKEN SALAD

Preparation Method :

  • Place the apples in a bowl with the lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise. Leave for 40 minutes or until required.
  • Slice the celery very thinly. Add the celery with the shallots, garlic and walnuts to the apple, mix and then add the remaining mayonnaise and blend thoroughly.
  • Add the chicken and mix with the other ingredients.
  • Line a serving dish with the lettuce. Pile the chicken salad into a serving bowl, sprinkle with pepper and garnish with the chopped walnuts. Serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams red apples, diced
  • 5 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 200 ml mayonnaise
  • 2 head celery
  • 6 shallots, sliced
  • 2 garlic clove, crushed
  • 100 grams walnuts, chopped
  • 650 grams lean cooked chicken, cubed
  • 2 cos lettuce
  • Pepper
  • Chopped walnuts, to garnish
