SAUERKRAUT WITH PINEAPPLE

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the clarified butter and glaze the onions in it.
  • Mix the sauerkraut with the onions, add the wine and the spices for about 25-30 minutes.
  • Mix the pineapple pieces with the sauerkraut. Spice the mixture with some pineapple juice, salt, pepper and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 kg sauerkraut
  • 250 grams onions, peeled and diced
  • 350 gram pineapple chunks, drained and reserve the liquid  
  • 5 tablespoon clarified butter
  • 1 tablespoon juniper berries
  • 500 ml white wine
  • Pepper and salt, to taste
