STEAMED PAELLA

Steamed Paella is one of the superb, fresh and appetizing dishes that you should learn! It can be prepared and be served for eight people, so it can feed your entire family as well. It can be readied in 50 minutes, preparing all ingredients like green pepper, garlic, onion, spicy salami sausage, boneless chicken, white fish, red pimientos and many more!

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a heavy-based pan; try the chicken or rabbit pieces to brown on all sides. Remove and put to one side.
  • Fry the salami, onion, garlic, pepper and rice in the saucepan for 5 minutes to color slightly and allow the rice to turn white.
  • Pour in enough stock to bring the liquid level 1 inch above the top of the rice. Return the chicken to the pan and stir in the fish and pimientos. Season well with salt and pepper.
  • Cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook for 15 minutes without lifting the lid. Add all of the remaining ingredients and continue to cook, covered, for 15 minutes.
  • Pile the paella on to a warmed serving dish.
  • Garnish with lemon or lime wedges.  

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 6 boneless chicken or rabbit pieces, cut into bite-sized cubes 
  • 200 grams small spicy salami sausage, cut into cubes
  • 2 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 2 clove garlic, peeled and crushed 
  • 2 green pepper, cored, deseeded and cut into strips
  • 250 grams long-grain rice, well washed chicken or fish stock
  • 500 grams firm white fish, skinned and cubed 
  • 4 canned red pimientos cut into strips 
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper 
  • 20 prawns with shells, washed 
  • 20 mussels, scrubbed and beards removed 
  • 150 grams frozen or cooked fresh peas
  • Lemon or lime wedges, to garnish
