Preparation Method :
- Boil rice and split green gram in a deep pan with enough water to cover. Add ginger paste, aniseed paste, and salt. Cook until the mixture reaches a soft thick consistency.
- Heat the ghee to smoking in a pan; reduce heat and saute the aniseed and bay leaves until the bay leaves turn colour. Pour over the rice and dal mixture and cover.
- Serve hot.
