RICE AND GREEN GRAM TEMPERED WITH ANISEED

Preparation Method :

  • Boil rice and split green gram in a deep pan with enough water to cover. Add ginger paste, aniseed paste, and salt. Cook until the mixture reaches a soft thick consistency.
  • Heat the ghee to smoking in a pan; reduce heat and saute the aniseed and bay leaves until the bay leaves turn colour. Pour over the rice and dal mixture and cover.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams Rice
  • 100 grams Split green gram  
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoon Aniseed paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Aniseed
  • 2 Bay leaves
