CONTINENTAL KEDGEREE

Preparation Method :

  • Cook the sausages under a preheated moderate grill (broiler) for 8 to 10 minutes until cooked through.
  • Meanwhile heat the butter and oil in a pan, add the coriander seeds, onion, garlic, celery and turmeric. Cover and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add the rice, season with salt and pepper and cook gently, stirring, until the rice is hot and lightly colored.
  • Pile the rice into the centre of a warmed serving dish. Slice the sausages and arrange around the edge.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with hot buttered toast. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 bratwurst sausages 
  • 50 gram butter 
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds 
  • 2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 4 sticks celery, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 300 gram long-grain rice, cooked
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper 
  • Chopped parsley to garnish
