BROWN RICE WITH NUTS AND SPICES

Preparation Method :
- Melt the margarine in a large saucepan and fry the nuts for 1 to 2 minutes until brown.
 - Add the onion, carrots, rice, garlic, spices and seasoning and fry for 2 minutes.
 - Stir in the raisins, chopped apple, consomme and wine, and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes.
 - Add the peas and cook for 1 minute, then sprinkle with the toasted nuts.
 
INGREDIENTS
- 50 grams margarine
 - 50 grams flaked almonds
 - 50 grams cashew nuts
 - 2 onion, peeled and thinly sliced
 - 4 carrots, coarsely grated
 - 250 grams brown rice, well washed
 - 4 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
 - 2 teaspoon ground cumin
 - 2 teaspoon ground coriander
 - 2 teaspoon turmeric
 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 - 1 teaspoon ground cloves
 - Salt
 - Freshly ground black pepper
 - 6 tablespoons raisins
 - 2 eating apple, peeled, cored and chopped
 - 500 ml consomme, diluted to make 1 liter
 - 300 ml dry white wine
 - 200 grams frozen peas
