Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan; add the cinnamon stick and sugar. Stir continuously, on low heat, till the sugar caramelizes.
- Add water and salt. Bring the mixture to the boil. Now add the rice and cook covered, on low heat, for about 20 minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with fried onions.

- 400 grams Rice, Basmati, washed, soaked for 30 minutes
- 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
- 1 Cinnamon, 1" stick
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 Onions, sliced, fried
