CAULIFLOWER AND PEA PILAF

Preparation Method :

  • Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
  • Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker; add bay leaves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, rice, and salt; saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add garam masala and water; mix well and bring to the boil. Add the vegetables and close the pressure cooker.
  • After 2 whistles release the pressure and transfer the contents onto a serving platter.
  • Serve hot.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams Basmati Rice
  • 1 medium sized Cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 100 grams Green peas
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin (jeera) seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Garam masala
