AROMATIC RICE PILAF

                    Preparation Method :
- Heat the ghee in a saucepan. Add the cumin, cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom pods and cloves and allow to sizzle or until the cumin is aromatic.
 - Add the onion and cook until it turns golden at the edges.
 - Add the drained rice with turmeric and salt, cook for a minute, stirring.
 - Add 2 cups of water with salt. Bring to a boil, cover and cook undisturbed for about 15 minutes. Check a grain, when cooked; remove from heat and serve.
 
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams basmati rice, well washed, soaked and drained
 - 2 tablespoon ghee
 - 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 - 1 small onion, sliced
 - ½ teaspoon turmeric 6 cm cinnamon stick
 - 1 bay leaf
 - 4 green cardamom pods
 - 4 cloves
 - Salt, to taste
