TURKEY MORNAY

Preparation Method :

  • Place the turkey breasts on the grid of a grill pan and spoon over a little lemon juice.
  • Put under a hot grill for 20 minutes, turning occasionally. If necessary, spoon over more lemon juice.
  • Meanwhile, melt the margarine in a saucepan and stir in the flour. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the milk. When blended, return to the heat, bring to the boil and simmer gently for 2 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Add the grated cheese and salt and pepper and stir until the cheese has melted.
  • Cut the cooked turkey breasts into small portions and place on a heated serving dish. Pour the sauce over.
  • serve with a salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams turkey breasts
  • Lemon juice for basting
  • 50 grams margarine
  • 2 tablespoons plain unbleached white flour
  • 500 ml skimmed milk
  • 100 grams Cheddar cheese, grated
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
