Preparation Method :
- Place mock duck and remaining ingredients into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, and then simmer 15 - 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
 - Mixture can be thickened slightly with blended corn flour if you wish. Remove star anise before serving with steamed rice.
 - Serve hot.
 
INGREDIENTS
- 500 gram canned vegetarian mock duck
 - 4shallots, sliced
 - 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger root
 - 2 clove star anise or pinch five spice powder
 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
 - 4 teaspoons dry sherry
 - 4 teaspoons sugar
 - 200 ml vegetable stock
