POTATO RICE BAKE

Preparation Method :
- Grease shallow ovenproof dish (2 litre/ 8 cup capacity).
- Place one-third of the potatoes over base of prepared dish, top with half of the rice and butter and a third of the cheeses.
- Repeat layering with more potatoes, rice, butter and another third of the cheeses; top with remaining potatoes.
- Press down lightly, pour over combined extra butter and pepper, sprinkle with remaining cheeses.
- Bake, uncovered, in moderately hot oven about 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and top is browned.
INGREDIENTS
- 100 grams long-grain rice.
- 1 kg old potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
- 200 grams cooked long-grain rice
- 50 grams butter, chopped
- 200 grams grated gruyere cheese
- 200 grams grated tasty cheddar cheese
- 50 grams butter, melted, extra
- 1 teaspoon Szechwan pepper
