POTATO BONDA

Preparation Method :
- Peel the potatoes and mash.
- Preheat 3 tablespoons oil in a small frying pan.
- Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- After a minute add onion, green chilies and grated ginger and fry for 3 minutes.
- Add potatoes, turmeric powder, salt and lime juice.
- Fry for 2 minutes. Remove from fire.
- Prepare a thick batter using gram flour, salt, soda bi carbonate and a little water.
- Divide the potatoes into 8 equal portions. Make balls.
- Preheat remaining oil over high heat.
- Dip the balls in the batter and deep fry 3-4 at a time till they turn pale brown.

- 8 boiled potatoes
- 250 ml IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut oil
- 3 teaspoons mustard seeds
- 2 sprig curry leaves
- 2 finely chopped onion
- 4 green chilies
- 3 tablespoons grated ginger
- 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 lemon
- 300 grams gram flour
- A pinch of soda bi carbonate
- Water
