POTATO IN MUSTARD GRAVY

Preparation Method :

  • Peel and cut potatoes into 4 pieces each. Finely chop onion and tomatoes.
  • Preheat oil in a small pressure cooker over high heat. Add mustard seeds. After a minute add onion and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add potato and fry for another 3 minutes. Add tomato, mustard paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chili powder and salt. Fry for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  • Add water and garam masala and pressure cook till 1 whistle over high heat.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 potatoes 
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 4 tablespoons mustard oil
  • 2 teaspoon mustard seeds 
  • 2 tablespoon mustard paste 
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Water
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala
