Preparation Method :
- Peel the potatoes.
- Preheat butter in a heavy bottomed, medium sized pan over high heat.
- Add black cardamoms and cloves. After a minute add onion and fry for 3 minutes.
- Add tomato and garlic paste. Fry for 5 minutes.
- Add water, salt and red chili powder and potatoes. Cover and simmer till all the water dries up.
- Add coconut, cashew nut paste and water. Cover and simmer till water almost dries up.
- Add water and cook over medium heat till the potatoes get tender.
- Add garam masala and remaining butter. Add more water if more gravy is required.

- 15 small sized potatoes
- 10 tablespoons butter
- 4 black cardamoms
- 10 cloves
- 4 chopped onions
- 5 finely chopped tomatoes
- 2 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 liter water
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 200 grams grated coconut
- 4 tablespoons cashew nut paste
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
