BHAJI

Preparation Method :

  • Peel and cut the potatoes into 4 pieces each, lengthwise.
  • Preheat oil in a medium frying pan over high heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard and saute for a minute.
  • Add onions and green chilies and fry for three minutes.
  • Add tomatoes and fry for another two minutes.
  • Add garlic paste, coconut paste and slit garlic cloves. Fry over low heat till tomatoes reduce to a thick paste, approximately 5-6 minutes.
  • Add potatoes, salt and turmeric powder.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 boiled potatoes 
  • 4 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 teaspoon cumin seed 
  • 2 teaspoon black mustard
  • 2 chopped onion
  • 4 chopped green chilies
  • 2 chopped tomato 
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste 
  • 2 tablespoon coconut paste 
  • 6 garlic cloves 
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoon turmeric powder
