ALOO PALAK

Preparation Method :

  • Peel the potatoes and cut into 4 pieces each. Chop the onions finely.
  • Remove the spinach and fenugreek leaves from the stems. Chop and grind into a smooth paste using water.
  • Preheat 4 tablespoons oil in a medium frying pan over high heat. Add potatoes and fry till pale brown. Set aside.
  • In the same frying pan add the remaining oil. After it gets heated add cinnamon sticks.
  • Add onion and fry till golden brown. Add spinach and fenu Greek paste, ginger paste, coriander powder and red chili powder.
  • Fry for five minutes over high heat. Add potatoes, garam masala and water. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 boiled potatoes 
  • 2 onions
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 bunch spinach
  • 1 bunch fenugreek leaves
  • 300 ml water
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder 
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
