ROASTED GARLIC MASHED POTATOES

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
1 hour 30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Separate the garlic cloves, place on a large piece of foil and drizzle with the oil.
  • Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F / Gas mark 5.
  • Wrap and roast the garlic in the oven for an hour or until very tender. Let cool slightly.
  • Meanwhile cut the potatoes into chunks and cook in a pan of lightly salted boiling water until tender.
  • Squeeze the cooled garlic cloves out of their skins and push through a strainer into a pan.
  • Add the milk, butter with salt and pepper to taste, heat gently until the butter has melted.
  • Drain the cooked potatoes and mash until smooth.
  • Pour in the garlic mixture and heat gently, until the ingredients are combined. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg starchy potatoes, peeled
  • 100 ml milk
  • 2 whole garlic bulbs
  • 3 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • 50 grams butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
