POTATO PULAO

Preparation Method :
- Peel and cut potatoes into 4 pieces each. Chop onion into very thin roundels and slit green chilies.
- Preheat oil in a medium pressure cooker over high heat. Add cumin seeds, black cardamoms and bay leaves.
- After half a minute add onion and fry till golden brown. Add potatoes and green chilies.
- After 2 minutes add rice, salt and turmeric powder. Fry over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add water and garam masala and cook over high heat till 1 whistle.

- 4 green chilies
- 5 tablespoons peanut oil
- 2 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 4 black cardamoms
- 4 bay leaves
- 600 grams rice
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 liter water
- 2 teaspoon garam masala
