STUFFED CHILA

Preparation Method :

  • Mix together gram flour, water, salt, ajwain and half teaspoon turmeric powder and make a smooth batter.
  • Preheat oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  • Fry onion till golden brown. Add green chilies.
  • Peel and mash the potatoes. Add along with salt.
  • Fry till light brown. Add chopped coriander leaves. Remove from fire.
  • Make 8 pancakes of the gram flour batter on a non-stick griddle, using remaining oil. Fill a portion of the potatoes, Sprinkle tomato sauce. Repeat process for the remaining pancakes and potatoes.
  • Roll the pancakes. Cover half of each pancake with paper so that the stuffing does not fall down while eating.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams gram flour
  • 500 ml water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ajwain
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 12 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 finely chopped onion
  • 4 green chilies
  • 4 large sized boiled potatoes 
  • 200 grams chopped coriander leaves 
  • 10 teaspoons tomato sauce
