CHILLY CHICKEN PIZZA

Preparation Method :

  • Chilli Chicken Topping:. In a bowl marinate the chicken with the chilli paste, soya sauce, vinegar, salt, pepper and ajinomoto for about an hour. Drain the extra marinade from chicken pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan, when hot add in the chicken pieces. Sprinkle the flour and mix well to coat. Fry on medium heat till crisp and light brown. Remove from oil.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of tomato spread to the chicken pieces to keep the chicken succulent and not turn too dry while grilling.
  • Tomato Spread: Heat the oil on medium heat in a non stick pan. Add garlic with the chilli paste, tomato puree and sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer for about 3 minutes. Add in oregano and remove from heat.
  • Spread the tomato spread on the pizza base, leaving the edges a little. Sprinkle most of the cheese on the tomato spread.
  • Spread the chilli chicken, chopped capsicum, onions and olives. Sprinkle the remaining cheese.
  • Place the pizza on the wire rack of a hot oven at 180°C. Grill for about 10 minutes till the base gets crisp. Serve hot with chilli flakes and mustard sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 readymade pizza bases 
  • 150 grams pizza cheese - grated
  • 150 grams boneless chicken breast - cut into tiny pieces 
  • 2 tablespoon IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • 4 flakes garlic - crushed and chopped finely
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli paste 
  • 150 ml tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano 
  • 1 teaspoon soya sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar 
  • Pinch of aji no moto
  • 2 tablespoon cornflour 
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 1 small capsicum - chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • A few olives - sliced, optional
