BASIL TORTELLINI WITH BACON AND TOMATO SAUCE

Preparation Method :
- Cook Pasta in a pan of boiling water until just tender. Drain and return to pan.
- While pasta is cooking, heat oil in a medium heavy-based pan.
- Add bacon, garlic and onion and cook 5-7 minutes over medium heat stir regularly.
- Add chilli and undrained, chopped tomatoes; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for at least 10 minutes.
- Add cream and basil; cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add sauce to pasta and toss well. Serve immediately.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams fresh or dried basil tortellini or (orecchiette)
- 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
- 4 rashers bacon, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chillies
- 450 grams, can tomatoes
- 100 ml thickened or pouring cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
