TAGLIATELLE WITH ASPARAGUS AND HERBS

Preparation Method :
- Add pasta to a large pan of rapidly boiling water and cook until just tender, Drain and return to pan.
- While pasta is cooking, cut asparagus spears into short pieces.
- Heat butter in a medium pan, add asparagus and stir it over medium heat for 2 minutes or until just tender.
- Add chopped parsley and basil with cream, salt and pepper. Cook for another 3 minutes.
- Add freshly grated parmesan cheese to pan and stir well.
- When thoroughly mixed, add to warm pasta in pan and toss gently to distribute ingredients evenly.
- Serve in warmed pasta bowls.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams tagliatelle
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 40 grams butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 300 ml thickened or pouring cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 100 grams freshly grated parmesan cheese
