SPAGHETTI WITH CREAMY GARLIC MUSSELS

Serves :

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Add spaghetti to a large pan of rapidly boiling water and cook until just tender. Drain and keep warm.
  • While cooking spaghetti , remove beards from mussels and wash away any grit. Set It aside.
  • Heat oil in a large pan. Add garlic and stir over low heat for 45 seconds.
  • Add wine and mussels, Simmer, covered for 5-7 minutes. Remove mussels and set aside.
  • Add cream, basil, salt and pepper to pan. Simmer for 2 minutes, stir it occasionally.
  • Serve sauce and mussels over spaghetti. Serve it with Crusty bread.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams spaghetti
  • 1.5 kg mussels in the shell
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 225 ml thickened or pouring cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
