PASTA WITH GARLIC AND BROCCOLI

Preparation Method :
- Trim any woody ends from the broccoli, and then break into small florets. Put the olive oil and garlic in a heavy-based frying pan (skillet) and fry over medium heat. Season liberally with freshly ground pepper.
- When the garlic is golden but not brown, add the broccoli, the water and the pasta broken into 5 cm/2 inch lengths.
- Mix well, then cover the pan and cook over moderate heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Stir occasionally so that the pasta does not stick to the pan. Add salt to taste at end of cooking time.
- Serve immediately.

- 500 grams broccoli
- 8 tablespoons Cooking oil
- 6 cloves of garlic, chopped or crushed
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- About 600 ml water
- 400 grams vermicelli or spaghetti
