FARFALLE WITH TUNA, MUSHROOMS AND CREAM

15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat butter and oil in large frying pan,Add onion and garlic stir over low heat until onion is tender.
  • Add mushrooms to pan. Cook for atleast 5 minutes, Pour in cream.
  • Bring to the boil Simmer until sauce begins to thicken.
  • Add flaked tuna, lemon juice, parsley, salt and pepper to cream mixture; stir to combine. Heat gently, stir constantly.
  • While sauce is cooking, add farfalle to a large pan of rapidly boiling water and cook until just tender. Drain well and return to pan.
  • Add sauce to farfalle and toss to combine. Serve in warmed pasta bowls.

INGREDIENTS

  • 75 grams butter or margarine 
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, chopped 
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed 
  • 150 grams mushrooms, sliced 
  • 250 ml thickened or pouring cream
  • 420 grams can tuna, (drained and flaked) 
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 
  • Freshly ground black pepper and Salt, to taste 
  • 500 grams farfalle (butterfly pasta)
