PERFECT PASTA

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven. Heat some water in the large saucepan. Add salt and bring to the boil.
  • Add the pasta carefully, taking care not to splash.
  • Cook the pasta according to the pack instructions.
  • Gently melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat. Add the flour and mix well.
  • Cook the mixture for 1 minute, and then remove from heat.
  • Stir in the milk, a little at a time, to make a smooth sauce. Put the pan back on the heat.
  • Stir while the sauce thickens so it doesn't go lumpy.
  • When the sauce boils, reduce the heat and cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, Mix in the Cheddar cheese, ham and tomatoes. Season.
  • Drain the pasta. Mix with the sauce. Place in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, on a baking tray, for 20-25 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams pasta shapes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams butter
  • 100 grams plain flour
  • 500 ml milk
  • 200 grams Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 200 grams cooked ham, roughly chopped
  • 6 cherry tomatoes cut into quarters
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling
