PASTA BAKE WITH SPINACH AND HAM

Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Add the spinach and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes over a moderate heat, just so that the spinach starts to wilt.
- Add nutmeg, to taste and season with salt and pepper.
- Lightly oil a large, shallow baking dish. Place a layer of lasagna at the bottom, followed by a layer of the spinach mixture, a layer of ham, then a layer of mozzarella.
- Repeat until all the ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of lasagna and the grated fontina cheese.
- Place at the top of a preheated oven, 400oF, and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 tablespoons Cooking oil, plus extra for oiling
- 2 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic clove, crushed and chopped
- 750 grams fresh spinach, washed and chopped
- Pinch of grated nutmeg
- 15 sheets of fresh lasagna
- 500 grams ham, chopped into large chunks
- 300 grams buffalo mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
- 300 grams grated fontina cheese
- Salt and pepper
