MEE GORENG

Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in a wok and deep-fry bean curd cubes until golden brown. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in wok and stir-fry onion for 2 minutes or until soft.
  • Add noodles and adjust seasoning. Mix well and continue to stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  • Pour in beaten egg and leave to set for a minute, mix well with noodles. Add potato, green peas, tomato and bean curd. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • Transfer to a large serving dish, garnish with sliced green chilli and serve. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams fresh yellow egg noodles, rinsed in warm water and drained
  • 100 ml cooking oil    
  • 225 grams firm bean curd, diced
  • 1 brown onion, medium, peeled and diced
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 potato, boiled, peeled and diced
  • 75 grams green peas    
  • 1 tomato, medium, diced
  • 1 green chilli, seeded and sliced

Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce    
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 4 teaspoon chilli sauce    
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
