DAUPHINE POTATOES

Dauphine Potatoes is one of the best dishes you can ever ask for! It can ultimately be prepared to satisfy your cravings in potatoes! If you’re tired of French fries, try this new potato dish for your family! It can be prepared instantly for about 30 minutes.

30 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Place the potatoes in a large bowl and cover with boiling water. Leave for 15 minutes, then drain.
  • Combine the garlic with the butter or margarine. Butter a deep dish.
  • Fill the dish with alternate layers of potato slices, two-thirds of the cheese and two- thirds of the butter mixture, sprinkling salt and pepper between the layers.
  • Beginning and ending with potatoes.
  • Pour the milk carefully down the side of the dish, then scatter over the remaining cheese and garlic butter. Sprinkle with paprika.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 18 - 20 minutes, turning the dish 3 times.
  • Cook on Full for an extra 5 minutes if extra soft is needed. Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then uncover and serve.

  • 1 kg waxy potatoes, verythinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • 150 grams Gruydre cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 300 ml full-creammilk
  • Paprika
