RED ONION AND CHEESE CROSTATA

Red Onion and Cheese Crostata is such a delicious and tempting microwave dish you can offer for your family! It’s perfect for the entire family. This recipe should be prepared perfectly to satisfy your cravings in this kind of food!

15 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • To make confit, place butter in a microwavable glass or ceramic bowl and melt on MEDIUM (50%) for 2 minutes.
  • Add onions, cover and cook on HIGH (100%) for 4 minutes, stir, then cook for 4 minutes longer. Stir in sugar, wine and vinegar and cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Stir in thyme.
  • Combine oil and garlic and brush over one side of each bread slice. Place under a preheated hot grill and cook for 3 - 4 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  • Cut cheese into thick slices. Place confit on roasted side of each bread slice, top with cheese and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 4 thick slices French bread stick, diagonally sliced
  • 200 grams goat's cheese marinated in 2 tablespoons French dressing

Red Onion Confit

  • 30 grams butter
  • 2 red onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 60 ml red wine
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic or red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped thyme or lemon thyme
