BROCCOLI WITH HERBED CHEESE SAUCE

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
5 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the broccoli in a 3 cups dish with the water. Sprinkle with salt. Cover with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape.
  • Cook on Full for 2 minutes or until the broccoli is tender but firm to bite. Put the cream cheese in a small basin.
  • Blend the cornflour with the milk and gradually stir into the cheese.
  • Uncover the broccoli and drain. Coat with the cheese mixture. Cover and cook on Full for 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Spoon on to the toast and sprinkle with the nuts and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon toasted flaked almonds
  • 50 grams cream cheese with garlic and herbs
  • 150 grams broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour  
  • 100 ml full cream milk
  • 1 slice fleshly made toast
  • Salt
