Preparation Method :
- Place all the ingredients except the nuts in a 7 cups dish. Cook, uncovered, on Full for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon 4 times.
- Remove from the microwave, then stand in the sink with enough cold water to come half-way up the outside of the dish.
- Leave to stand for 10 minutes, then lift out and wipe the base and sides dry.
- Add the walnuts and beat the candy vigorously for several minutes until it starts to lighten in colour.
- Thoroughly butter a shallow round, square or oval 5 cups dish.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared dish and leave to set.
- Remove from the dish by lifting with a knife, then break the candy into pieces. Store in an airtight tin or jar.

- 50 grams golden syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 300 grams light soft brown sugar
- 150 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 50 grams walnuts, coarsely chopped
