YELLOW PEA SOUP
This soup is really amazing. Yellow Pea Soup has full of flavors and yummy feeling. It has ham bone and marjoram that adds to the taste of the soup. It is perfect to serve at any pair of dishes it is really spectacular. You can also make it at home!

Preparation Method :
- Place the split peas in a mixing bowl. Add the cold water. Cover with a plate and cook for 6 minutes. Allow to stand for 3 hours.
- Transfer the peas and soaking water to a 10 cup bowl. Stir in the marjoram and add the ham bone. Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape.
- Cook for 20 - 30 minutes. Mix in half the hot water. Cover as before and cook for a further 15 minutes. Remove the bone.
- Take the meat off the bone and cut it into small pieces. Return to the soup with the remaining hot water. Season to taste with the salt. Stir well.
- Cover with a plate and reheat for 5 minutes. The soup can be thinned, if preferred, with extra boiling water.

- 400 grams yellow split peas, washed
- 800 grams cold water
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 ham bone
- 600 grams hot water
- 1 teaspoon salt
