ITALIAN RISOTTO

Italian Risotto is such an appealing dish because it contains succulent ingredients! It has strongly been prepared with saffron powder, risotto rice, butter, chicken stock, olive oil, onion, white wine and Parmesan cheese! Hurry and enjoy preparing this dish for your family!

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Cooking Time :
25 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put half the butter and the oil in a 7 cups dish. Heat, uncovered, on Defrost for 1 minute.
  • Stir in the onion. Cook, uncovered, on Full for 5 minutes. Stir in the rice, water or stock and wine and the saffron powder.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 10 - 14 minutes, turning the dish three times.
  • Gently fork in the remaining butter followed by the salt and half Parmesan cheese.
  • Cook, uncovered on Full for 6 minutes, stirring gently with a fork every 4 minutes or until rice has absorbed all the liquid.
  • Spoon into dishes and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 teaspoon saffron powder
  • 50 grams butter
  • 250 grams easy-cook risotto rice
  • 500 ml boiling water or chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • 1 large onion, peeled and grated
  • 150 ml dry white wine
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
