RICE CHEESE

Preparation Method :

  • Stir together the rice, salt and water in a 3 cups dish. Cover with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape.
  • Stand the dish on a plate to catch any water when boil over. Cook on Full for 10 - 12 minutes. Allow to stand for 4 minutes.
  • Fork in the cheese, milk or cream, mustard and hot pepper sauce to taste.
  • Sprinkle with the breadcrumbs, then dust with paprika. Reheat, uncovered, on Full for 1 minute. Allow to stand for 30 seconds before eating.

INGREDIENTS

  • 75 grams easy-cook long-grain rice
  • 300 ml boiling water
  • 50 grams Red Leicester cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons milk or single cream
  • 1 teaspoon mild made mustard
  • Few drops Tabasco or other hot pepper sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon toasted brown breadcrumbs
  • Paprika
