LAMB BIRYANI

The lamb biryani is loaded with numerous ingredients like garam masala, chicken stock, flake almonds, long-grain rice and other added seasonings that truly match the whole family. Because of its perfect combination of flavorings, the dish appears more delicious and appetizing.

20 minutes

Cooking Time :
25 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a Dutch oven on Full for 2 minutes. Add the lamb, garlic, cardamom seeds and garam masala. Mix well.
  • Arrange the meat mixture round the edge of the dish, leaving a small hollow in the centre.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it to allow steam to escape.
  • Cook on Full for 10 minutes. Uncover and mix in the rice, stock and salt. Cover as before and cook on Full for 15 minutes.
  • Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then spoon out on to warmed plates and sprinkle each portion with the almonds.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams trimmed neck of lamb fillet, cut into small cubes
  • 5 cardamom pods, crush the seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 250 grams easy-cook long-grain rice
  • 500 ml hot chicken stock
  • Salt to taste
  • 125 grams flaked almonds, toasted
