- Place the kipper in a shallow square dish.
- Add enough cold water to cover the fish. Cover with plastic wrap and slit it to allow steam to escape.
- Cook on Full for 6 minutes. Allow to stand for 2 minutes. Uncover and drain. Serve topped with a knob of butter or margarine.
