SWEET-SOUR HERB HERRING

4 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the herring on a plate, flesh side up. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Beat the vinegar with the herbs and sugar and spoon over the fish.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and slit it to allow steam to escape. Cook on Defrost for 4 minutes or until the flesh is flaking and soft.
  • Allow to stand for 1 minute before eating.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon mixed dried herbs
  • ½ teaspoon soft brown sugar
  • 1 fresh herring, cleaned, head removed, and washed
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
