Preparation Method :
- Put the herring on a plate, flesh side up. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Beat the vinegar with the herbs and sugar and spoon over the fish.
- Cover with plastic wrap and slit it to allow steam to escape. Cook on Defrost for 4 minutes or until the flesh is flaking and soft.
- Allow to stand for 1 minute before eating.

- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- ½ teaspoon mixed dried herbs
- ½ teaspoon soft brown sugar
- 1 fresh herring, cleaned, head removed, and washed
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
