BUTTERED SOFT HERRING ROES WITH GARLIC

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
6 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the roes in a small but deep dish. Dot with the butter or margarine and crush the garlic over the top. Season to taste.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and slit it to allow steam to escape. Cook on Defrost for 6 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute.
  • Uncover and sprinkle with the onions. Eat with toast.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams soft herring roes, washed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • Toast, to serve
