FINNAN HADDOCK

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
6 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the fish in a shallow 500 ml round dish. Add half the water. Cover with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape.
  • Cook on Full for 4 minutes. Uncover and drain.
  • Repeat, using the remaining water and covering as before.
  • Uncover and drain again, then cook on full for a further 2 minutes. Uncover and drain.
  • Transfer to a plate and top with a knob of butter or margarine or a poached egg.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams piece of smoked haddock fillet, cut from the thicker end
  • 300 ml cold water
  • Butter or margarine or 1 poached egg, to serve
