SWEDISH COD WITH MELTED BUTTER AND EGG
This Swedish cod with melted butter and egg is the spectacular dish. The berry which adds to the unique dish is totally yummy. You can sprinkle the chopped egg on the top which is lovelier and creates unique style. It is perfect in breakfast!

Preparation Method :
- Put the water, cloves, juniper berries, bay leaf, pickling spice, onion quarters and salt in a glass jug. Cover and slit it to allow the steam to escape.
- Cook for 10 - 15 minutes. Strain. Place the fish in a deep dish and pour in the strained liquid. Cover with clingfilm and slit it twice to allow steam to escape.
- Cook for 10 minutes, turning the dish twice. Transfer the fish to a warmed dish, using a fish slice, and keep hot.
- Melt the butter, uncovered, on Defrost for about 2 minutes. Pour over the fish. Sprinkle with the chopped eggs and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 300 ml cold water
- 3 whole cloves
- 5 juniper berries
- 1 bay leaf, crumbled
- ½ teaspoon mixed pickling spice
- 1 onion, quartered
- Salt to taste
- 250 grams middle-cut fresh cod steaks
- 75 grams butter
- 2 hard-boiled (hard-cooked) eggs, shelled and chopped
