CANTON DUCK

Prepare for the following ingredients; duck, smooth apricot Jam, Chinese rice wine, mustard, lemon juice and soy sauce! Mixing them all would result to a microwave dish-Canton Duck! This will surely bring you satisfaction as well as your family.

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the apricot jam, rice wine, mustard, lemon juice and soy sauce in a small mixing bowl. Heat on Full for 2 minutes, stirring twice.
  • Place the duck upside-down on an upturned tea plate standing in a Dutch oven.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 20 minutes.
  • Uncover and carefully pour off the fat and juices. Turn the duck over and spread the breast with the apricot baste. Cover as before and cook on Full for 10 minutes.
  • Cut into four portions and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 kgs duck, washed and dried     
  • 3 tablespoons smooth apricot Jam  
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese rice wine
  • 2 teaspoons mild made mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon Juice
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
