CHOCOLATE COFFEE BROWNIES WITH HAZELNUTS

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Melt the chocolate, sugar, and butter in a double boiler or in a bowl set on top of a pot of boiling water.
  • Remove from the heat, add the coffee and liqueur, and mix well.
  • Fold in the flour with a spatula.
  • Fold in the eggs, one at a time.
  • Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with baking paper.
  • Sprinkle the hazelnuts on top of the batter.
  • Bake for 8 minutes.
  • Remove the brownies from the oven and place the pan on a metal cooling rack to cool for 30 minutes.
  • Transfer to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Remove the brownies from the refrigerator and transfer to a work surface. Cut 3-inch squares with a sharp knife. Wipe the knife between cuts to ensure that the cuts are clean.
  • Let the cut brownies sit for 20 minutes then serve at room temperature.

  • 400 grams fine bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 200 grams butter
  • 100 ml brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons Kahlua or other coffee liqueur
  • 100 grams flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 150 grams roasted hazelnuts, shelled
