Preparation Method :
- Thoroughly grease a 3 cups pudding basin. Sift the flour and cocoa into a bowl and toss in the sugar. Finely rub in the butter.
- Beat together the egg, milk and vanilla essence, then stir with a fork into the flour mixture.
- Spoon into the prepared basin. Cook, uncovered, on Full for 2 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute.
- Cook on Full for a further 30 seconds or until the pudding is well risen and spongy-looking.
- Allow to stand for 30 seconds. Turn out on to a plate and eat with cream or ice cream.

- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons light soft brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 50 grams self-raising flour
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons cold milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- Cream or ice cream, to serve
