- Put the apple slices in a serving bowl with the sugar, water and cloves. Cover with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape.
- Cook on Defrost for 4 minutes or until tender. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Eat hot, warm or cold, either plain or with cream or custard.

- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 large cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 whole cloves Cream or custard, to serve
