MULLED PEACHES

Preparation Method :
- Put the sugar and water in a 10 cup dish and stir well. Cover and cook on Full for 6 - 8 minutes to make a syrup.
- Cut the peaches into chunks. Add to the syrup with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 5 minutes, turning the dish 2 times.
- Allow to stand for 5 minutes before spooning into dishes and eating with crisp, buttery biscuits.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams castor sugar
- 150 ml cold water
- 9 large halved and stoned (pitted) peaches
- 6 whole cloves
- 2 in piece cinnamon stick
- ¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons medium-dry sherry
- 1 tablespoon orange liqueur
- Biscuits, to serve
