APRICOT APPLE

Preparation Method :

  • Score a line round the apple, about one-third down from the top.
  • Remove the core with a peeler, taking care not to cut through the base of the apple.
  • Pack with apricot jam and top with the chocolate polka dots.
  • Transfer to a bowl large and deep enough to accommodate the apple comfortably.
  • Sprinkle with toasted flaked almonds and pour cider or wine into the dish. Cover with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape.
  • Cook on Defrost for 10 - 12 minutes, turning twice or until the apple has puffed. Allow to stand for 2 minutes before eating.

  • 2 teaspoons toasted flaked almonds
  • 3 tablespoons cider or wine
  • 1 large cooking apple
  • 2 tablespoons chunky apricot jam
  • 9 chocolate polka dots
