Preparation Method :
- Thoroughly butter a 5 cups dish. Pour the cream or milk into a jug. Heat, uncovered, on Full for 2 minutes.
- Whisk in all the remaining ingredients except the nutmeg. Strain into a dish. Stand in a second 9 cups dish.
- Pour boiling water into the larger dish until it reaches the level of the custard in the smaller dish. Sprinkle the top of the custard with the nutmeg.
- Cook, uncovered, on Full for 6 minutes or until the custard is only just set. Remove from the microwave and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
- Lift the dish of custard out of the larger dish and continue to stand until the centre firms up.
- Pour bought caramel sauce into four buttered custard cups and top with the egg custard.
- Cook, uncovered, on Defrost for 10 minutes or until the custard is set.
- Allow to cool, then chill thoroughly. Turn out on to individual plates and serve with cream.

- 3 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- ½ teaspoon grated nutmeg
