SCANDINAVIAN CARDAMOM CAKE

Scandinavian cardamom cake – what an excellent microwave recipe for all! This is widely preferred by millions of people because of delectable taste and perfect aroma. Every piece of cake is tendered with complete fillings and flavorings that add to its delicious taste.

Cooking Time :
10 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Line a deep dish with clingfilm , allowing it to hang very slightly over the edge.
  • Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and rub in the butter or margarine finely. Add the sugar and cardamom.
  • Beat the egg in a measuring jug and make up to 150 ml with milk. Stir into the dry ingredients with a fork until well mixed but avoid beating.
  • Pour into the Prepared dish. Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the cake. Cover with clingfilm and slit it twice to allow steam to escape.
  • Cook on Full for 4 minutes, turning twice. Allow to stand for 10 minutes, then carefully transfer to a wire rack by holding the clingfilm.
  • Carefully peel away the clingfilm when the cake is cold.

INGREDIENTS

 For the cake

  • 150 grams self-raising flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 75 grams butter or margarine
  • 75 grams light soft brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 1 egg
  • Cold milk

For the topping

  • 2 tablespoons flaked almonds, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons light soft brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
